Wellcome to M/S TUNØ

M/S TUNØ is a robust ship, built at Hou Skibs- og Baadebyggeri in 1965 for freight and carriage of passengers in the area between Tunø, Samsø and Jutland.

In 2005 the ship came back to her old waters and her home port is now at Ballen, Samsoe.

Daytrip to the neighboring island Tunø

From June to August (Incl.), we sail three daily tours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Departure at 09:00 am, 12:00 am. and 3.00 pm from the port of Langør, Samsø.

The trip takes you to the islands east of Samsø: Vejrø, Kyholm, Besser Reef and Lindholm.

By "Bosserne", a sanctuary situated around a stone reef, we encounter and admire the many seals living here. Seals are curious animals and they vere often come quite close to the ship.

By Kyholm the ship makes a small stop while skipper Niels Bach tells the fascinating story about the island's history as a quarantine station.

In the unique waters, there are plenty of seabirds and very often also porpoise - a charming and playful little whale.

The tour lasts approx. 2.5 hours.

Price: DKK 150, -, children under 14 half price and under 5 free.

M / S Tunø is found at the northern quay at Langør port.

Thursdays and Fridays sailing M / S TUNØ day trips to our little neighbor island Tunø.

Tunø is a very special island with only about 100 citizens.

The island is car-free and represents virtually all of Denmark in Lilliputian format.

There are fine restaurants and shopping opportunities.
